Arrest
Alexander Furth, 34, of Lowell Street, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon at 6:14 p.m. at Lowell Crossing Enterprises Group Home, 349 Lowell St., after a caller reported being physically assaulted with a metal rod by his roommate.
Summons
Erick Maximiliano Sandoval Mazariegos, 33, of Beacon Street in Chelsea, will be summonsed to court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 9:28 p.m. Wednesday at 75 Lowell St., after police responded to a call for a head-on crash.

Disturbances
A report of an unhappy customer at 4:32 p.m. Wednesday at Richland Convenience Store, 272 Lynn St. A party was unhappy with the service. She was offered an ambulance and declined.
A caller reported a disturbance in the parking lot at 7:49 p.m. at Tannery Gardens, 111 Foster St.
Overdose
A report of an overdose at 7:11 a.m. Wednesday on Caller Street. One person was taken to Salem Hospital.
Suspicious
An employee reported being concerned a customer is falling victim to a Bitcoin scam at 5:16 p.m. Wednesday at Garden Park Variety, 44 Margin St.
A resident reported a dark sedan idling with its lights off in the middle of Bowen Road for quite a long time at 10:33 p.m. Wednesday at Britton Road and Bowen Road. Officers checked the area and the vehicle was gone on arrival.

Disturbance
A report of a disturbance at 1:23 p.m. Wednesday at 173 Salem St. A caller reported a landscaping company using leaf blowers at or around 6:30 a.m.
Suspicious Activity
A report of suspicious activity at 4:53 p.m. Wednesday at 433 Paradise Road. A caller reported a male wearing pink pants and a denim jacket walking in the Panera parking lot looking into parked vehicles.
A report of suspicious medications at 8:32 p.m. Wednesday at 404 Paradise Road. A caller reported that he and his wife located medication that does not belong to his mother in law at his mother in law’s house. The man said he believed his brother-in-law had been giving these medications to his mother in-law without her knowledge.
Theft
A report of shoplifting at 7:06 p.m. Wednesday at 433 Paradise Road. A report of a 80-year-old man with a green hat allegedly shoplifting at the Paper Store.
