The Massachusetts Orchid Society is pleased to announce its Annual Orchid Show and Sale “The World of Orchids: India” on November 3-5 at the Sons of Italy Hall in Winchester.
More than 1200 Orchid Species grow in India, thanks to its tropical climate, rainforests, and the Himalayas. Thousands of orchids from India and around the globe will be on display and for sale. As you circulate through the hall your senses will be tantalized by the colors, shapes and perfume of the exotic orchid displays from private collectors, several New England Orchid Societies,
and 9 national/international vendors.
The artistic beauty of the displays will draw you close, with orchids having diminutive flowers best seen with a magnifying glass, to large floriferous orchids that demand your attention; many having exotic fragrances. MOS members will be on hand to answer any questions.
The show will feature something for every level of enthusiast from beginner to advanced, including seminars, hourly tours of the displays, plant raffles, vendors of specialty orchids and growing supplies, and orchid art. The show admission is $10 per person, with MOS members and children under ten, free. All proceeds help fund MOS, a non-profit organization.
“World of Orchids: India” will be open to the public 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday Nov. 3, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sat. Nov. 4, and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday Nov 5. The Sons of Italy Hall is located in Winchester at 117
