Freshman sensation Greta Siefken scored again in Monday’s 4-0 win over Winthrop. Siefken has scored 12 goals in Swampscott’s last seven games.
Head coach Jaymie Caponigro said she was looking for more players to be “hungry in front of net” and Siefken has delivered for the Big Blue all season.
Valentine Park, Victoria Quagrello, Hannah Fogg, and Siefken all got on the scoresheet.
Lyla Rogers, Quagrello, and Siefken all recorded an assist in the win.
Eve Byrne was in goal and kept a clean sheet.

The Spartans (8-6-1) are now one point away from qualifying for the state tournament.
Sophie Skabeikis scored twice for St. Mary’s, while Kylie Kennison registered her eighth shutout of the season.
Head coach Jim Foley said the team “played with a ton of heart” and that its effort was “outstanding.”
Cameryn Dunn and Bree Moloney held the fort on defense, while Riley Maguire, Cierra Johnson, Issie Skabeikis, and Bella Owumi all had great games. Maguire, who initially plays defense, had to be moved up to forward as the Spartans are dealing with some injuries.

The Pioneers (10-2-2) scored five minutes into the game when Bella Carroll put away a pinpoint cross from Clara Caulfield.
Unfortunately for Lynnfield, North Reading scored in the first minute of the second half to level it at one.
Lynnfield’s coach Mark Vermont was pleased with how his defense played on the day.
“Our defense overall played a really great game,” Vermont said.
Vermont praised the defensive work of Keely Briggs, Avery Haney, and Ariana Guarracino. Vermont also mentioned Ally Sykes and Kaylee Barrett as having strong games.

One goal was enough for Lynnfield to take care of business Monday evening. The Pioneers defended home turf thanks to a goal from Dillon Reilly.
Reilly’s goal was assisted by Rocco Scenna.
Lynnfield’s next game is on Wednesday against Rockport.
Swampscott 5
Winthrop 0
The Big Blue couldn’t stop scoring, putting five past the Vikings.
Swampscott led 2-0 at halftime thanks to goals from Jack Raymond and Lucas Bereaud.
Raymond doubled his tally in the second half with a headed goal.
The final two goals came from Milad Sassin and Casey Kearney to earn the Big Blue a decisive win.

It was a tough game for the Tanners as they failed to register a goal. Despite the loss, head coach Jillian Tobin was pleased with Daniella White, who “played with composure and drive.”
Sophia Kassis made 21 saves in net while Ashella Correa had a defensive save.

Swampscott battled hard to a draw on Monday evening. The lone goal was scored by Maisie Russo on a penalty stroke.
The Big Blue’s next match is on Wednesday when they take on rival Marblehead.

The Magicians couldn’t protect home field, losing to Masco on Monday night.
Marblehead’s next match is on Wednesday against Swampscott.

The Spartans move to 12-4 on the year with a narrow victory over Gloucester.
Josh Doney (29 points) and Andrew Potter (27) led the way for St. Mary’s. Head coach Jay Fiste described the match as a “rainy barnburner.”
Kyle Rush (25), Micah Hashikawa (24), Stephen Nason (23), and Shea Newhall (22) all contributed to the win.
St. Mary’s next match is on Tuesday against Marblehead at Tedesco Country Club.

The Rams fell short on the road and now move to 5-3-1 in the Greater Boston League.
Reid Hannabury, Brayden Curley, and Gavin Collins all played well despite the loss.
