Joseph Robert Bonia, 29, of Walnut Street, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation at 9:36 p.m. Monday at 100 Forest St, after an officer spotted a vehicle driving the wrong way in the area.

A report of a motor vehicle collision with non-fatal injuries at 2:10 p.m. Monday at Wheelabrator Saugus, 100 Salem Turnpike; at 6:29 p.m. Monday at Kelly’s Roast Beef, 595 Broadway, two people were taken to Melrose/Wakefield Hospital; at 5:23 a.m. Tuesday at 111 Walnut St., one person sustained an arm injury.

A 911 caller was attempting to speak with a second voice in the background yelling when the line was suddenly terminated at 7:21 p.m. Monday at 38 Bristow St. Dispatch spoke with the caller who reported his brother requested the police due to stomach issues and he was becoming irrational. He further stated he did not need the police anymore. Dispatched officers requested an ambulance for evaluation and the man declined treatment.

A caller reported a car with its lights on and occupied with people coming in and out causing a disturbance with the radio at 1:07 a.m. Monday at Clifton Arms, 141 Essex St. Dispatched officers reported the vehicle was gone on arrival.
A caller reported a banging noise coming from his roof at 11:43 a.m. Monday at 32 Walden Terrace. Dispatched officers searched the attic and determined the report was unfounded. The caller further reported a loud booming sound from the roof area and requested the ladder truck. The noise was coming from a subwoofer.
