To the editor,
On Oct. 18, I received endorsements for my campaign for councilor-at-large from three individuals that I have known for a very long time. I have the utmost respect for all three of these individuals. I decided to enter the race for councilor-at-large after the passing of our good friend, Councilor Buzzy Barton. Everyone that knew Buzzy Barton loved him. While I never declared during the campaign season to “be running for Buzzy’s seat” or “running to take Buzzy’s place,” I am honored and privileged to be wholeheartedly endorsed by Buzzy’s team in this year’s election. Buzzy’s sister Pat Barton, Buzzy’s longtime friend and retired firefighter Moona Mullins (Buzzy’s campaign treasurer), and Claire Avadanian, Buzzy’s friend and campaign manager, have endorsed me for councilor-at-large. I will continue to work tirelessly to earn everyone’s vote on Nov. 7. When elected, I will serve as your full-time councilor-at-large. I will work even harder to uphold the values of our friend Buzzy Barton and his love for the City of Lynn.
