It was the start of playoff golf for Division I and III on Monday morning.
In Division I, St. John’s Prep finished third with a score of 305 (17 to par). Tripp Hollister and Terry Manning shot a 1-under par for the Eagles. Seamus O’Holleran, Brian Loughlin, Jack Carew, and Jack Moriarty all chipped in to help the Eagles finish third.
Peabody competed in Division I and finished 11th. The Tanners combined for a score of 68-over par 356, well behind North Andover, which claimed the top spot with a score of 8–over 296. Matt Ryder led the Tanners with an 8-over 80, tying for 18th. Tristan Joyyce shot 87 and tied for 41st, Mason Clickstein shot 94 and tied for 65th, and Mike Petro shot 95 and tied for 68th. Mike Ryan and Cameron Connolly also represented Peabody.
For Lynn English, the Bulldogs finished 14th, scoring 440 (152 to par). Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Jacoby Comeau, who finished the day shooting a 97. Riley Driscoll contributed with a score of 104. The Bulldogs were also represented by Ben Rodriguez, John Crowley, Christopher Boyd, and Andres Lopez.
In Division III, Lynnfield had a great season, going undefeated. In the postseason, the Pioneers finished fourth out of seven teams in the Division 3 sectional tournament at Stow Acres Monday. The Pioneers posted a score of 42-over par 330, 18 shots behind winner Weston.
Deven Henehan was low man, posting a 7-over par 79 to finish T7 individually. Paul Daley tied for ninth with an 80. Gavin Leuci shot 85 and was 21st. Brady Field rounded out the scoring with an 86 and tied for 22nd. Owen Mullin (87) and Owen Doherty (89) also competed.
Lynn Classical finished seventh with a total score of 452 (164 to par). Kyle Mckenna led the Rams shooting a 110 while Brayden Curley was right behind with a 111. The Rams were also represented by Gavin Collins, Reid Hannabury, Cooper Dalferro, and Mark Walsh.

The Spartans (12-1-2) shined on senior night, keeping a clean sheet against Malden Catholic.
A shutout is nothing new to this Spartans team as it was its 11th of the season.
Kaya Jackson scored a brace (19th goal of the year) while Nick Miller also got on the scoresheet.
The goals were assisted by Chance Bonfanti and Hakeem Akande.
St. Mary’s will travel to Archbishop Williams on Wednesday for a CCL matchup.

It was an evening to forget for the Tanners (6-3-5) as Beverly got the better of them.
Peabody’s goals were scored by Yanni Pappas and Luke Murray. Murray also provided an assist in the matchup.

Despite being ahead at halftime, the Magicians drew with Masco at Piper Field.
The Magicians will look to get back to winning ways on Thursday when they travel to Winthrop to take on the Vikings.

The Crusaders were firing on all cylinders on Monday. Jackie Dormer scored two goals, but also provided an assist.
Samantha Dormer chipped in with a brace of her own while Reese Spurchise and Callie Reed each got on the scoresheet.

The Tanners couldn’t defend home turf, losing a close match. Peabody’s goal came from Connie Patturelli, who was unassisted.
Head coach Andrew Douglass said defenders Madi Barrett and Logan Lomasney “played really well on defense.”
Douglass also praised his goalkeeper, Eva Joyce, for having a “great” game.
FIELD HOCKEY

Despite a hard-fought match, the Pioneers couldn’t fight off a strong North Reading side.
Sophia Kassis made 13 saves to keep the Pioneers in the match.
Lynnfield coach Jillian Tobin said that “captain Meghan Collins played strong in multiple positions today, as did Kate Bresnahan.”
Captain Iliana Nikolouzos had a “nice sideline play” in the second half, according to Tobin.

The Spartans continue to have an amazing season shutting out the Magicians at Manning Field.
Dee Dee McCarron, Bella Freitas, Kasey Litwin, and Audrey Zinck all scored for St. Mary’s.
Nothing could get past goalie Gianna Tringale, who registered another shutout.
VOLLEYBALL
Lynnfield 3

The Lynnfield High volleyball team celebrated its five seniors Monday night with a 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-20) sweep over visiting Georgetown on senior night. Captains Lilyana Deleo and Janhavi Jogekar, along with fellow seniors Grace D’Augusta and Leticia Marafon, were recognized before the match for their contributions.
“I could not be more thankful and lucky to have this senior group,” Lynnfield coach Brent Ashley said. “The entire year has been a learning process for us, rebuilding our culture and our identity after graduating six starting seniors last year. These seniors have done such an amazing job being role models within our program, and building genuine relationships with our younger players.”
Chase Carangelo had 13 kills and seven digs. Erika Pasquale had 11 kills, six digs, and three aces. DeLeo had 15 assists, seven aces, four kills, and six digs. Joglekar had 16 assists and seven digs.

On senior night, the Spartans stepped up and delivered, winning their fifth straight game. The win moves St. Mary’s to 11-7 on the year.
The Spartans will look to make it six wins in a row on Tuesday, when they travel to Archbishop Williams for a 5 p.m. match.

The Tigers (12-5) fell short in a back-and-forth battle against Somerville (25-27, 25-23, 25-14, 19-25, 5-15).
Ava Bishop led the Tigers with 22 digs while Lia Morales contributed with 11 digs, six aces, and four kills.
Maria Groscos had 12 digs, five kills, and three aces. Zahara Belizaire had a team-high nine assists while also contributing with six digs.
