To the editor:
In my view, Donna Coppola is the best choice to represent Ward 4 on the Lynn City Council. We all know Donna from her many years serving the city on the School Committee as well as her decades of work and advocacy as a social worker in the Highlands. Donna is humanitarian and cares deeply about all people in the city. Furthermore, given her ample experience, Donna is knowledgeable about the issues of our ward. Still, she has remained humble and accessible throughout her many years of public service. One thing that impresses me about Donna is that she has run a professional and positive campaign. We should all dismiss the cruel and unfair distortions being made about her by community organizations made up predominantly of people from Somerville and Salem. Even those who support her opponent should denounce these attacks on her character and try to run a cleaner campaign. Donna is a great person and will make a great Ward 4 councilor. Let’s keep her working for us.
