You know what I’ve been thinking? It’s one thing to have a good game – and, hey – maybe even two. That said, Peabody field hockey goalie Sophia Kassis did it four times last week.
In the Tanners’ last game against Revere, a 2-0 win, Kassis earned her third shutout and 142nd save of the season, but that was nothing compared to the Beverly game. Despite a 1-0 loss to the Panthers, the shot-stopper made 17 saves to keep her team in striking distance.
Also during the week, Kassis recorded nine saves against Malden, and another 13 against high-powered Swampscott.
In total, she saved 43 shots last week, and crossed the 140-save threshold on the season.
Sophia, not bad, and good week.
