Three Local Moms Launch Podcast “Moms Night Out”

A trio of Lynnfield’s working moms, Jenny Clifford, Mandy Foote, and Katie Santarelli, made a foray into the podcast world with their new show, “Moms Night Out,” which launched Wednesday, Oct.18.

The podcast, which touches on a variety of topics related to family, careers, friendship, and pop culture, garnered over 1600 unique individual downloads within its first week of launch. The podcast is available on popular platforms like Spotify and iTunes.

The three hosts aim to create a space where they can get honest about the challenges of juggling family life, careers, and personal interests. Clifford, Foote, and Santarelli, who all reside in Lynnfield, emphasize that while they may be moms, it doesn’t define their identity. They aim to reach a broad audience and foster a community of strong, supportive women who may feel isolated or lost in their motherhood journey.

The podcast’s episodes are set to be released every Wednesday at 8 a.m. The first episode featured discussions on topics such as “Just Starting,” “Mom Brain,” and “Get to Know MNO.”

While the hosts have high hopes of reaching a large-scale audience and being featured in popular podcast platforms like Apple’s “New and Noteworthy” or Spotify’s Editorial Feature, they emphasize that their ultimate measure of success is to connect with and support even just one mom who has felt isolated.

“There’s a whole group of women who are going through the same things that nobody talks about,” Santarelli said. “If we could make these women laugh, I think to us that would be successful. So we are trying to just build this little community of moms for people who maybe don’t have a core group of friends.”

The next episode will feature Dr. Adam Wulkan, currently the Director of Laser & Cosmetic Dermatology at Lahey Health at Market Street, to discuss the “Art of Aging,” touching on skincare, anti-aging, botox, and more.
