To the editor:
Marc Feldmann
Take a second to look at that name and think about it. You’ve probably heard of him, in fact, you’ve probably been taught by him. Marc has been teaching in the Lynn Public Schools system for the last 22 years and after all the help and support he’s given to countless students throughout the years, now he needs your help.
Hi. I’m Jacqlyn Feldmann, Marc’s wife, and he needs a kidney.
My husband Marc has end-stage renal disease, or in other words, he’s in kidney failure and needs a kidney in order to survive, to live the rest of his life with me, and to see and be with any kids we may have. In order to prevent a debilitating life on dialysis, we are working with Square Knot Health to get Marc a kidney as soon as possible.
I spent the last year going through the process of becoming Marc’s donor, but we ran into some problems. 1) I’m not a direct match to my husband; our blood types are different, so we would still need two other willing participants. 2) After completing part of the donor process, I was denied continuing because I am a COVID long-hauler and the information surrounding continuous after effects of my long COVID are still unknown.
It would mean the world to me and Marc if anyone interested in the prospect of becoming Marc’s donor could reach out to Julie Hoggan at Square Knot Health at 617-468-4245. It is an elective process to be someone’s donor, but Marc’s life depends on a transplant.
Sincerely,
Jacqlyn Feldmann
