To the editor:
I am endorsing Nicole McClain for councilor-at-large in the upcoming election on Nov. 7.
I have known Nicole McClain her whole life as both our families are from the Marian Gardens neighborhood where we all grew up together. I watched Nicole grow into the woman she is today, from her military service to the great community work she has done in Lynn.
She served in the Army National Guard leaving her family for two tours in Iraq. Nicole started the Food Aid program during COVID-19 to deliver food to people in need. She started the North Shore Juneteenth and volunteers on boards and commissions. She is a credit to our city and an example of how hard work can pay off.
As a colleague on the Lynn City Council, many of our political views align. We have so much work to do for the future of Lynn and for right now. Our work with the young people of the city is a clear example of how we can collaborate on the council. Nicole can see both sets of tasks clearly. I would appreciate your support for Nicole on Nov. 7.
Thank You,
Ward 6 Councilor Fred Hogan
