To the editor:
I support Nicole McClain for councilor-at-large. I’ve known and admired Nicole for her contributions to Lynn for several years.
Nicole and the North Shore Juneteenth Association initiated the Food Aid program during the pandemic, personally delivering food to sick or elderly shut-ins. The program grew and is now run by the New Lynn Coalition serving more than 700 families.
Her National Guard service and two deployments to Iraq give her a unique understanding of our veterans’ needs. She was born in Lynn, raised a family here, and knows our city.
I have watched her listen and learn, be open to all other opinions, master new policy issues, and get even better at representing ALL of Lynn. Being both humble and smart is a pretty good combination.
To see who will be a good representative, I always look at what they did BEFORE they ran for office. Nicole has a proven record of public service and will help us all change our city for the better.
Sincerely,
Jeff Crosby
