LTE: Vote Jeff Newhall for Ward 1 city councilor

To the editor

October 31, 2023 by To the editor

To the editor:

I am happy and honored to support Jeff Newhall for councilor of Ward 1. He has gone to school, worked, and lived his entire life in Ward 1, and is dedicated to make Ward 1 and Lynn better for everyone.

I have known Jeff and his family through local sports for many years. Jeff and his family have contributed to many Lynn activities, Wyoma Little League for one, and as lifelong Lynners have contributed Lynn, especially the children.

As St. Mary’s athletic director, he has worked closely with mayors, city councilors, School Committee, state delegation, DPW workers, City Hall staff as well as Police, Fire, coaches and athletic directors.

He can hit the ground running as he has faced all the problems and difficulties Ward 1 is facing: plowing, street cleaning, crime, and traffic.

He has earned the respect and friendship of everyone he comes in contact with and will be a great person to represent the people of Ward 1.

Jeff is a great family man to his wife and children, and can be counted on for anyone who needs help. He’s someone who will be readily available to help anyone anytime. I can speak from experience. He has proven he can handle difficult times and is willing to listen, which makes it easy to be there for others.

Having known Jeff and his family for many years, I am sure he would be a great asset and friend for Ward 1 and Lynn. This is why I am honored and privileged to write in support of Jeff Newhall to be the next councilor of Ward 1. I hope the people of Ward 1 will support him as well.

Sincerely,

John Hoffman

Lynn
