LYNN — Several law enforcement agencies were on-scene for several hours at a multi-family home at 363 Broadway Wednesday afternoon in what appeared to be a raid.
Item reporters observed agents from several law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, Massachusetts State Police, and Lynn Police, who appeared to be searching the home and nearby vehicles.
A neighbor, who requested anonymity out of safety concerns, said law enforcement on-scene conducted searches for most of the afternoon and into the Wednesday evening and said she saw at least one man detained.
According to the neighbor, she had long believed the home to be involved in drug trafficking over the years and added that though not at this scale of Wednesday activity, she had seen law enforcement at the home before.
“This has been going on for years,” she said. “I know police have been there a few times.”
A spokesperson for Essex District Attorney Paul F. Tucker said there had been an arraignment associated with the incident Wednesday afternoon but would not provide further information.
Lt. Rick Connick of the Lynn Police Department said the department did not have an update as of Wednesday but said there may be more information tomorrow.
After a request for comment, the United States District Attorney Massachusetts District said they would not confirm or deny investigations.
