The real grind comes in November, and Friday night, a collision course between red-hot programs took place at Manning Field (Sutton: 6-game winning streak; KIPP: 6 of last 7).
In the end, the No. 7 Panthers – on their revenge tour after last season’s Super Bowl loss to Hull – topped the No. 10 Sammies, 46-20.
KIPP advanced to the Elite 8, where it will face No. 2 Carver.
Leading the way were Jovan Machado (140 rushing yards, 3 TDs), Morenel Castro (120 receiving yards, 3 total TDs), and Chanel Gutierrez (197 first-half passing yards).
