LTE: Megie-Maddrey is the change Ward 4 needs

To the editor

November 5, 2023 by To the editor

To the editor:

As residents of this vibrant, diverse ward, we face a crucial decision in selecting the candidate who will best represent our collective interests. Natasha Megie-Maddrey is, without a doubt, the most qualified individual for this role. Her background as a lawyer equips her to be a powerful advocate, scrutinizing policies and ensuring they benefit our lives. In a complex political landscape, Natasha’s expertise is not just valuable, but essential.

Her recent collaboration with local organizations to secure a $5 million allocation for housing underscores her genuine commitment to our community’s well-being. We require a councilor who not only comprehends our concerns but takes concrete actions to address them.

Our ward has suffered from prolonged councilor tenures, resulting in an imbalance of resources and services. It’s time for change. Astonishingly, the incumbent councilor supports another long-term candidate, a continuation of the status quo that we cannot afford.

We need a representative who combines compassion, advocacy, and expertise. Natasha Megie-Maddrey embodies all these qualities. She will steadfastly defend our rights, challenge the norm, and work toward a brighter future for our ward.

In the upcoming election, I urge all Ward 4 residents to vote for Natasha Megie-Maddrey. Let’s choose the candidate who will be our unwavering champion, bringing legal acumen to City Hall and tirelessly advocating for our community’s well-being. The time for change is now, and Natasha is the change we need.

Sincerely,

Adriana Paz
Ward 4 resident
