Two Lynn boys soccer teams, Tech and St. Mary’s, took part in a back-to-back at Manning Field Saturday. One ended in celebration, and the other, heartbreak.
No. 14 St. Mary’s hosted No. 19 Medway in Division III action, and the 2-1 final was as close as it sounds. Chance Bonfanti scored a beautiful goal from 30 yards out, and after Medway found its equalizer, big-game veteran Nick Miller buried the game-winner with 20 seconds remaining in the contest.
Afterwards, No. 14 Tech hosted No. 19 Pittsfield in Division IV. The Tigers lost, 3-2, in double overtime, but not without goals from Saul Mejia and Felipe De Oliviera.
