SAUGUS — Four people are facing charges in connection with a fight at Kowloon the night before Thanksgiving, the Police Department said Thursday.
Rosaria Sophia McCauly, 32, of North Reading; Arnold John Carey Marujo, 19, of Somerville; Donovan Clark, 19, of Lynn; and Anthony John Micelli, 35, of North Reading, are all facing a litany of charges in connection with the brawl and will be summonsed to Lynn District Court.
McCauly is charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (to wit glass bottle) and disorderly conduct; Marujo is charged with procuring liquor to someone less than 21 and disorderly conduct; Clark is charged with procuring liquor to someone less than 21, disorderly conduct, and assault and battery; and Micelli is charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct.
The brawl broke out at around 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 22, forcing the restaurant’s management to shutter the bar and dining area early. That night, a line of seemingly hundreds formed outside to get into the landmark restaurant.
Police Chief Michael Ricciardelli called the fight “unacceptable and disgusting.”
The Police Department is preparing a secondary report into the incident, which will be forwarded to the Board of Selectmen. A copy of that report was not available Thursday, a spokesperson for the department said.
Selectmen have said they will await that report before taking any action on the restaurant’s liquor license. The incident was not discussed during the board’s Wednesday evening meeting.
