While much of the world is recovering from the financial and mental health tolls that the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic caused, many are still experiencing the difficulties and setbacks that turned their world upside down.
Things get even trickier if parents or guardians are forced to take time off due to health concerns, which can hinder their ability to provide for their family.
This is the situation a mother of three young girls finds herself in this holiday season, and she wrote to Item Santa asking for assistance in keeping the holiday spirit alive for her kids.
“I am a mother of three, and I have been experiencing financial difficulties since Covid-19,” she said. “I have been out of work for almost a year now with some serious health issues and illnesses.”
Despite this, she is doing her best to provide for her children, who so strongly believe in the magic of Christmas, and give them holiday memories that they can hold on to for life.
“I will appreciate any help I can get this festive season, and my girls will really appreciate it since they so much believe in Santa,” she wrote.
