Ava Buckley scored the first goal of the season off an assist from Eleni Spack, and the Peabody-Lynnfield-North Reading girls hockey team (1-0) never stopped en route to a 4-0 win against Beverly at Endicott College.

Buckley scored again to put the visitors ahead, 2-0, off assists from Daniella White and Abby McInerney (goal). Returning goalie Alyse Mutti recorded 29 saves for PLNR.

Despite versatile scoring and a few sharp finishes, Lynnfield (0-1) fell in a revenge game against Triton – dating back to last season’s state tournament loss against the Vikings.

In the 4-3 overtime loss at home, Jack Carpenter, Evan Rocha, and Aiden Norton scored the Pioneers’ goals. Joe Raffa, Jake Connell, Tim Sullivan, and Nick Kelter dished out assists.

Everett 9

Talk about offense. Despite two goals from Mike Ryan, three points from Ryan Jones, and another two from Artie O’Leary, Peabody-Saugus (0-1) fell to Everett, 9-6, on Saturday. Evan Tybinkowski stood strong between the pipes with 42 saves.
