You know what I’ve been thinking? When you’re that good, it doesn’t take too long to heat up.
Just three games into the young boys basketball season, Peabody’s Anthony Forte has put on shows against Masconomet, Beverly, and, as of Sunday, crosscity rival Bishop Fenwick.
In game one, Forte wasted no time, scoring 19 points to go with three assists and three rebounds against a helpless Masco (62-40 final).
Three nights later on Friday, came the big performance. Forte dropped 31 points in a 71-57 victory against Beverly. The do-it-all Tanner also snatched four rebounds and dished out five assists.
Then, the icing on the cake in a 72-50 win against Fenwick. Forte registered another 16 points to please his home faithful.
Better yet, and more importantly, his Tanners are 3-0.
Anthony, good week.
