If you’re a Lynn Tech basketball fan, Tuesday night was for you.
Both the boys (47-46 against East Boston) and girls (57-53 at Shawsheen) basketball teams escaped with single-digit wins.
For the boys (3-1), coach Corey Bingham called it a “great, all-around team win against a tough and great-coached East Boston team.”
Jayden Welch (12 points, 5 rebounds) and Ederick Gonzalez (11 rebounds, 13 rebounds) led the charge.
As for the girls, do-it-all Allison Morales put on a show with 24 points, 12 rebounds, five blocks, four steals, and two assists.
She was followed by Engelyz Bingham (21 points, 18 rebounds, 5 steals, 4 blocks, assist), Amy Huynh (7 points, 6 rebounds), and Jaylianniez Beauchamp (4 points, 5 rebounds).
BOYS BASKETBALL
Lynn English 72
Somerville 48
Three games, three wins for Lynn English, which took care of Somerville on Tuesday. Coach Alvin Abreu called it “a great second-half effort.”
Denzell Guillen (21 points, 8 rebounds), Carmelo Buese (19 points, 12 rebounds), and Kyle Kemembin (17 points, 10 rebounds) all got the job done.
Everett 63
Lynn Classical 52
Despite strong performances from Marvin Avery Jr. (11 points) and D. J. Reynolds (11), the Rams fell on the road against Everett. They return to action Thursday against Malden.
Lynnfield 46
Hamilton-Wenham 34
The Pioneers upped their record to 2-0 with a double-digit win against Hamilton-Wenham. Harris Hadzihasanovic (8 points) gave Lynnfield momentum with two 3-pointers in the second half, helping erase a halftime deficit.
Alex Fleming (17 points) and Chris Daniels (16) both impressed.
Swampscott 73
Bishop Fenwick 62
Despite Jimmy Vahey (14 points, 10 rebounds) and Brady Jenkins (14 points) coming up big for Fenwick, it was no match for the Big Blue.
Swampscott’s Nakeylen Davis led the way with 23 points, followed by Liam Wales (21 points, 12 rebounds), Connor Chiarello (19 points), and Adam Spiracio (11 boards).
Marblehead 68
Salem Academy 44
The Magicians remained perfect after handling Salem Academy with ease, 68-44. Ryan Commoss (16 points) and Nick Lemmond (15) led Marblehead, which had 45 points by halftime.

St. Mary’s 60
St. Mary’s dug itself in a first-quarter hole and couldn’t come back, falling 78-60 to The Prep.
GIRLS BASKETBALL

The Lady Bulldogs got the job done in Somerville, leaving with their first win of the season. Jaeleigh Perry (12 points) and Jayleen Novas-Rivera (10) played strong games.
St. Mary’s 63
Pope Francis 37
Four games in, and the Lady Spartans are still perfect. They bested Pope Francis, 63-37, in enemy territory. Bella Owumi (16 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals), AJ Hyacinthe (13 points, 6 steals, 4 assists), and Reese Matela (9 points, 7 rebounds) served as the three-headed monster in this one.
Swampscott 47
Whittier 40
Swampscott defended its home court with a seven-point victory against Whittier. The Big Blue were led by freshman Olivia Quagrello (18 points), sophomore Sam Ward (11), and senior Jesse Ford (6 points, 14 rebounds) on the glass.
Swampscott hosts Barnstable at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
Lynnfield 45
Hamilton-Wenham 39
Searching for its first win of the young season, Lynnfield did just that in a 45-39 final against Hamilton-Wenham.
Emma Rose (12 points), Hayden Valiton (11), Taylor Valiton (8), Ava Gamache (5), Maeve Wertz (5), and Erika Pasquale (4) all contributed.
Taylor Valiton pulled in a “very impressive” 23 rebounds, according to coach Sue Breen.
The Pioneers (1-2) now have until Wednesday, January 3 when they face North Reading.
TRACK AND FIELD
The St. Mary’s Lady Spartans defeated Fontbonne Academy, 59-18, courtesy of first-place finishes from Tina Amin (55m, long jump), Lory Suriel (shot put), Isabella Michel (300m), Kelsey Kwiatek (2-mile), and Cam Dunn (600m).
The 4×200 relay team also won, consisting of Kaileigh Patterson, Mia Iannotti, Anaiya Satterwhite, and Amin.
