While there are only four days left until Christmas, there is still time this holiday season to lend a hand to the many families that are struggling to make ends meet.
Consider starting with a donation to the Item Santa fund.
Any amount, be it large or small, will go a long way to help needy families give their children a memorable Christmas and maybe provide a little holiday cheer and joy.
One mother showed her appreciation in a letter to Item Santa by saying “first of all, thanks for making this a happy time for all the kids in need.”
She said she was asking Item Santa to help her kids because her family is going through a “difficult time” and she feels that it has had “too many struggles with many bills and not paying my rent on time.”
The mom said she is only able to work part-time and that her husband is also not able to work full-time due to a variety of reasons.
“I appreciate this help,” she wrote. “God bless everyone who helped all the families.”
It’s not too late to make a difference for this family and the many others suffering through difficult times by donating to the Item Santa fund, which, now in its 57th year, helps to make Christmas brighter for the needy. It’s easy and it doesn’t take any time at all to donate. It is sure to brighten your holiday season as well, knowing that you have done your part to help those who are less fortunate.
