Northeast Arc has elected Nate Gravel to its board of directors.

Gravel is president at GraVoc, a family-owned, technology-consulting company, located in Peabody. Gravel joined GraVoc in 2008 as the company’s director of information security. He served as vice president of information security and IT before being named president. In his role, Nate is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of all GraVoc’s service offerings, sales and marketing, strategic planning, and growth.

“It is a privilege to become a member of the board of directors at Northeast Arc,” Gravel said. “My company has done quite a bit of work for the organization over many years, and I’m always impressed by the incredible organization and the work its staff does to improve the lives of people with disabilities and autism every day.”

“I’m thrilled that Nate agreed to join our board of directors,” Northeast Arc Board Chair Heidi Ellard said. “His business experience and familiarity with Northeast Arc make him an ideal board member. I know his input will help guide the future direction of the organization as we continue to change the lives of people with diverse abilities.”

Gravel, who lives in West Newbury with his wife, Ashley, and four children, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College and a Master of Arts degree from Middlebury College. He has also earned several industry certifications, including certified information systems auditor (CISA), certified information security manager (CISM), and certified in risk and information systems control (CRISC) from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
