A Marblehead man has been arrested after allegedly harassing a Bloomfield Township, Mich. official, along with others.
According to a report from CBS.com. Marc Aisen, 47, was arraigned Wednesday, Dec. 20 after being extradited to Michigan on two counts of using a computer to commit a crime.
According to police, Aisen sent emails to the official between July 2023 and October 2023. Aisen then sent emails to 190 people, including city officials, after not receiving a response to the original email, accusing the official of child sexual exploitation, being affiliated with Hamas, and other “defamatory accusations.”
Wxyz.com identified the official as Town Treasurer Michael Schostak, and reported that Schostak’s child’s school was one of the recipients of Aisen’s emails.
Police contacted Aisen, telling him to cut any communication with the official and others who he contacted. He allegedly continued to send emails afterward.
Aisen was given a $50,000 bond. If released, he has been ordered to wear a tether and cannot leave Michigan. He has also been ordered not to have a computer or contact his alleged victims.
