Northshoremen Barbershop quartets offer singing valentines

January 26, 2024 by Joel Barnes

Those looking to sweeten up their Valentine’s Day while contributing to a good cause will be able to hire the Northshoremen Chorus to deliver a serenade to a loved one on Feb. 14 in Lynn.

Barbershop quartets from the Northshoremen Chorus will make Valentine’s Day very special for sweethearts throughout the region when they arrive unannounced at offices, homes, and other venues to present singing valentines to unsuspecting recipients from the ones who love them.

Singing valentines are delivered by formally dressed a cappella quartets to a loved one’s home, workplace, or favorite restaurant anywhere in the greater North Shore area. Each singing valentine includes two love songs, the presentation of a personalized card, a long-stemmed rose, and a digital picture to commemorate the moment.

Prices will start at $60 if ordered by Feb. 7, and $65 if ordered after that date. The quartets will sing on Valentine’s Day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The singing valentines represent one of the major fundraisers for the nonprofit Northshoremen, who put on shows at area assisted living facilities throughout the year and many other venues and perform to benefit organizations such as the Special Olympics, Beverly Bootstraps, Northeast Animal Shelter, and Care Dimensions. They also make free appearances concerts and cappella nights to help local high schools fund their music programs.

For more information, please call 866-727-4988 or 866-462-SONG. You can also order online at northshoremenchorus.com or email [email protected].
