The Lynn legislative delegation joined Attorney James J. Carrigan on his LCTV show, “The American Dream,” this week to discuss the state of the state.
The show, which airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., and Saturdays at 7 a.m. on Comcast Channel 3 and Verizon Channel 38, is “designed to give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how public and private policy is developed,” according to Carrigan. For this week’s episode, Carrigan was joined by state Sen. Brendan Crighton and state Reps. Jenny Armini, Dan Cahill, and Peter Capano, all of whom represent Lynn.
The conversation between the legislators and Carrigan ran for just less than half an hour and began with a discussion of the delegation’s efforts to rectify poor water quality at King’s Beach. Armini is a member of the Joint Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, chaired by Cahill, which is working to address the issue.
Armini also discussed the state of the legislature under the leadership of Gov. Maura Healey and Lt. Gov Kim Driscoll.
“That’s been really exciting because there’s a lot of energy in the building,” she said.
