A series of musical performances featuring students from across the district was slated to begin today at the Thurgood Marshall School cafeteria.
“These performances showcase the dedication, talent, and hard work of our students,” said Sam Minton, a Lynn Public Schools communication specialist. “We look forward to sharing the joy of music and celebrating the talents of our students with the community through these captivating performances.”
Groups of students from Lynn English High School were to lead off, performing at Marshall and talking about their experiences in the LPS music system.
Tuesday, at 9:45 a.m. at the Lynn Tech Fieldhouse, the All-City Ensembles will perform; and again at 10:45 a.m. the group will perform at the Washington School.
The Lynn Classical High School groups will perform Friday, March 15 at 9:45 a.m. at the Tracy School. On Monday March 18, the All-City Orchestra and Jazz Band will showcase their talents at 9:45 a.m. at Ingalls. At 10:45 a.m. the All-City Orchestra and Jazz Band will perform at Harrington.
Next up are students from Lynn Tech, who will perform at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, at the Fallon Elementary School and then at Cobbet at 10:45.
The final performances for the month will be held Wednesday March 20 at 9:30 a.m. at Sisson Elementary and at 10:30 a.m. at Pickering Middle School by Lynn English groups.
“Students from elementary, middle, and high schools will come together to share their passion for music and delight audiences with their exceptional talents. These performances not only demonstrate the artistic excellence of our students but also highlight the importance of music education in fostering creativity, teamwork, and self-expression,” Minton said.
