BEVERLY — Lisa Bell, a Nahant resident of nearly 20 years, is the co-founder and chief marketing officer of RazHer Collaborative, a marketing agency with an emphasis on empowering women through opportunity. On Thursday, the agency is presenting the first of three  “EmpowHER Women” shows at the Off Cabot Comedy and Events.

RazHer teamed up with Off Cabot to organize the show, which will feature eight North Shore-based female entertainers who specialize in music, comedy, and more.

Bell has worked in public relations for more than two decades. She started the company in fall 2021 with former Nahant resident Kristen Standish.

“With her being in media and me being in PR, we joined forces,” Bell said. “When I was at an agency in the North End of Boston, the firm she was working for hired us to be their PR firm.”

Bell described RazHer’s goal as raising women up socially, professionally, and intellectually through its work. Off Cabot’s general manager, Jackie Indrisano, worked with Standish and Bell to create the concept for the upcoming three-part series.

“This isn’t a chick fest,” Indrisano said. “What it is for me is that these women are outstanding and they need all of our support.”

Comedian Kelly MacFarland is one of the women slated to lend her talents to Thursday’s show, and felt extra inspired to participate in it due to its theme.

“I’m a fan first of this, so that just ignites everything,” MacFarland said.

Lynn native Sheree Marcelle will be lending her singing voice to the event. Marcelle recounted how she faced hardship trying to establish a career as an opera singer, but feels “EmpowHER Women” is a good representation of the support women in her field deserve.

“I’m really excited to be a part of this because along the ride of my career and trying to discover who I am as a singer and performer… a lot of it has come because of the people that I have met along the way,” Marcelle said. “It really has very little to do with me.”

Tickets for next week’s event are still available for $35. The later two shows are scheduled for June 6 and Oct. 3.
