You know what I’ve been thinking? From the ice to the turf, this Spartan transitions quite well.
A sophomore at St. Mary’s, Finn Racki recently wrapped up a hockey season in which he scored six goals. Spoiler alert, just because he switches sports, doesn’t mean the goal-scoring slows down.
Also a do-it-all sniper for the lacrosse team, Racki opened the spring with a bang. His Spartans sported a 1-1 week against Danvers and the Lynn Jets, and no one produced more than him.
Despite an 8-6 loss to Danvers on opening day, Racki scored a pair of goals to help keep things interesting for the Spartans. In the end, however, it was an 0-1 start.
So, Racki took things into his own hands – literally and figuratively – against Lynn. In an 11-0 victory, he scored eight goals in very, very versatile fashion.
And just like that, St. Mary’s is 1-1 and Racki has reached the 10-goal mark – already.
If I were you, I’d be at Manning Field on Monday against Archbishop Williams (5 p.m.) to see if Racki continues his productivity.
Finn, good week.
