Swampscott DAV hosting forum for Select Board candidates

For the Item

April 11, 2024 by For the Item

The E. F. Gilmore DAV of Swampscott/Lynn is sponsoring a forum for Swampscott Select Board candidates this coming Saturday, April 13. The forum will be held during the E. F. Gilmore DAV March meeting at the Swampscott Senior Center at 200R Essex St, behind Swampscott High School. The forum will begin at 9:30 a.m. and also have breakfast.
This is the third year the DAV is sponsoring this event, according to E. F. Gilmore DAV Cmdr. Jeffrey Blonder. While the goal of this forum is for the candidates to meet and hear from the veterans of Swampscott and to allow the candidates to outline their goals if they are elected, veterans are also concerned about the various issues facing Swampscott, according to Cmdr. Blonder. The forum is open to all residents and RSVPs can be made by contacting Cmdr. Blonder at [email protected].
