The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts announced that two more people have pleaded guilty to counterfeit pill trafficking in association with a North Shore-based drug trafficking organization.
Raymond Kulakowski, 36, of Lynn, and Kion Shepherd, 33, of Salem, pleaded guilty to one count each of conspiring to distribute and possession with the intent of distributing counterfeit prescription pills containing fentanyl or methamphetamine.
They are now the eighth and ninth defendants to have pleaded guilty in connection with the organization.
The statement also mentioned that the court documents proved the organization had distributed counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl and counterfeit Adderall pills containing methamphetamine to individuals in the area, and that its members were prepared to distribute tens of thousands of them.
Judge F. Dennis Saylor IV has arranged their sentencings for July 25 and Sept. 3.
