LTE: Katie Arrington will ensure Swampscott’s great progress continues

To The Editor

April 19, 2024 by To The Editor

To the editor:

We write today in support of Katie Arrington for Select Board. Katie is the candidate who will be fair, focused, dedicated, and who will make level-headed, transparent policy decisions for Swampscott.

Katie’s balanced approach is a direct reflection of her background, experiences, and proven track record. As a lifelong resident of Swampscott, Katie is passionate about maintaining and strengthening our town’s history, heritage, and tradition. As a parent of two young children, and past president of the Clarke School PTO, she is committed to making Swampscott a safe and joyful place for all of our youth. But as someone who lives in a multigenerational household, Katie also intimately understands the challenges and needs of our senior residents. Finally, as a devoted and committed volunteer on multiple town initiatives, she has demonstrated that she is not afraid to do the work required to get important things done.

From our AAA bond rating to the building of a new elementary school, from open space acquisitions to affordable housing for veterans, from diversity hires in our public safety departments to increased community events and gatherings, we believe we are making great progress in Swampscott, and that Katie is the candidate who will ensure that it continues.

We urge you to support Katie Arrington in the town election for Select Board on Tuesday, April 30.

Sincerely,

Naomi Dreeben (Select Board 2014 – 2020)

Neal Duffy (Select Board 2020 – 2023)

Polly Titcomb (Select Board 2019 – 2022)
