LTE: Bicycles are out of control in Nahant

To The Editor

May 6, 2024 by To The Editor

To the editor:

Bicycles are out of control in Nahant. On Aug. 10, I hit a girl, she was on a bike and ran a stop sign and ran into me. She did not get hurt. I was driving 20 mph. Three witnesses said it was her fault. The Nahant Police Department in the police report said I would be issued a citation, which never happened. On April 28, driving on Spring Road at 10 a.m., a boy on a bike was racing me. I slowed to let him go. He eventually pulled right in front of my car without looking. My wife was in the front seat. I went to the police station and got nowhere. I know that the Nahant Police Department has done nothing to solve this.
