You know what I’ve been thinking? Lynn Tech’s baseball team had more W’s this week than an online Google search.
The Tigers hit – and, frankly, pitched – their way to a 4-0 week with wins against Minuteman Regional (3-1 final), Nashoba Valley Tech (1-0), Greater Lawrence Tech (9-6), and KIPP Academy of Lynn (5-2).
That’s a run differential of 18-9. Not bad.
“We’ve played some really clean baseball over the past four games,” said head coach Eddie Lewis Sr. “I give my guys all the credit in the world.”
Highlights included Will McCafferty’s 12-strikeout, complete-game performance against Minuteman, Chris Boyd’s 13-strikeout, complete-game showing against Nashoba, and a well-rounded offensive attack against KIPP. Big hits this week have come from Eddie Lewis Jr., Mario Giordano, and Nevin Gonzalez – just to name a few.
“Just keep working hard – win, lose, or draw,” Lewis Sr. said. “I couldn’t ask for a better group of guys.”
Tech’s quest for five consecutive wins comes Thursday in a road matchup against Mystic Valley. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m.
Tigers, good week.
