Swampscott’s girls lacrosse team (10-2) reached the 10-win mark with a 17-3 victory against Saugus on enemy turf. Avery Laundry and Cecilia Tripp led the way with hat tricks Tuesday evening.
Mia Dahlman, Victoria Pierro, and Coco Clopton netted two apiece, while Audrey Heath, Fiona Keaney, Lila Giard, Caroline Reen, Lia Beatrice, and Sophia Ciciotti also went home with goals. Lilah Caplan made seven saves between the pipes.

Trailing 4-1 wasn’t a problem for the Pioneers, who rattled off four runs in the sixth inning and another in the seventh to knock off North Reading.
“That was the difference in the game,” said Lynnfield coach John O’Brien. “Good win.”
Nick Groussis hit an RBI double in the sixth, while Ben Dahlstedt earned the win in three innings of relief.
“Tyler Adamo was making some really tough plays,” O’Brien said of the defense. “And on the last play of the game, Nick (Groussis) came in and caught it to make a nice play.”
The Pioneers, 13-2, return to their home diamond to face Rockport on Thursday.

It was no home diamond, no problem for Marblehead, which shut out the Panthers, 5-0, on Tuesday. Chris Cannuscio struck out four and allowed just two hits across six innings. Better yet, he went 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI.
Stefan Shepard, Charlie Sachs, and Brooks Keefe (2 RBI) went home with RBI. As a team, the Magicians committed no errors and outhit Beverly, 6-2.

Another game, another Cam Connolly no-hitter. This time, the Tanner did so with 11 strikeouts and just three walks. Josh Sigmon (2-for-4, RBI), Jayden Cunningham (1-for-3, 2 RBI), and Reymi Andino (1-for-3, R, RBI) led the offensive charge.

Lynnfield fell to 7-9 and 5-7 in the Cape Ann League after its narrow defeat against Essex Tech on Tuesday.
“Had a shot to tie in the seventh with the bases loaded and one out, but couldn’t score,” said Lynnfield coach Hector Longo.
Kaila George was 4-for-4 in defeat, while Olivia Kelter (3 RBI) and Catie Kampersal (2) also came up big for the Pioneers.

The Prep tripled up St. John’s Shrewsbury in an early-afternoon contest on the road. Brendan Powers scored three goals, Jake Vana had a goal and three assists, Jack Doherty won 10 of 12 face-offs, and Austin Kitces made seven saves to lead the Eagles (13-2).

Ipswich on the road was a good test for the Pioneers, who still returned home with a three-goal win behind Ben Pimentel’s 17 saves and Will Norton’s six goals and assist.

Classical upped its record to 7-4 after taking care of the Patriots on Tuesday. Andy Ly and Ori Beato served up singles wins, while the duo of Donovan Lam and Tommy Prou delivered a doubles victory. Third singles and second doubles were forfeited by Revere.

A traditional rivalry made its way to Marblehead on Tuesday, with its Magicians taking care of the Big Blue, 4-1, to move to 10-3 (8-0 Northeastern Conference). Etan Farfel and TJ Kelly submitted singles wins, while the duos of Jayden Janock-Leo Winocour and Austin Bacon-Ty Cooper did so in doubles.

Talk about a clean sweep – Marblehead did just that against its not-so-friendly foe in Swampscott. Maddie Conlon, Aviva Bornstein, and Sami Dosch got the job done in singles, as did the doubles teams of Aoife Bresnahan-Lucia Levin and Reese Friedman-lani Gilmore.
