LYNN — The New Lynn Coalition will present a tribute to Attorney James “Jim” J. Carrigan, who the coalition described as a “son of Lynn and a social-justice advocate,” on Wednesday.

“Jim is a top-shelf human being. Throughout my legislative career, I have been led and guided by the wisdom and support of Jim Carrigan,” state Rep. Pete Capano said. “His friendship and mentorship has been instrumental in shaping my approach to public service, instilling in me the values of integrity, dedication, honesty, and compassion for my constituents.”

Carrigan, who is also the host of the LCTV show “The American Dream,” will be recognized for his contributions to the community on May 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lynn Museum.

“There is absolutely no one more deserving of this award,” Capano said. “(Carrigan’s) contributions to the Lynn community are endless.”

The cost of the event is $50 per person or $450 for a table of 10 people. For more information or to reserve a spot, call Jacquelyn Fitzhugh at (781) 560-2014.
