The hot bat of Peabody’s Logan Lomasney continued on Monday as the Tanners defeated Archbishop Williams 9-0.
Lomasney continued to show her power as she blasted another home run to make it three games in a row where she rounded the bases. The senior went 3-for-4 with three RBI in the win.
Fellow senior, Abby Bettencourt, did damage in the circle and at the plate. Bettencourt threw a three-hitter in the shutout while striking out 11. At the plate, Bettencourt went 4-for-4 with a home run.
Peabody ended the regular season with a 17-3 record and now wait for Wednesday’s bracket reveal to see who they play.

Saugus 4
It was Senior Day for the Sachems, but despite the loss head coach Steve Almquist played all six seniors the whole game and they played “fantastic” according to him.
Senior captains led the way for Saugus. First, it was captain Ava Rogers who had a single with two RBI. Devany Millerick registered a single and a triple with a run scored.
Senior Felicia Alexander went 1-for-3, while fellow senior Kaitlyn Pugh played “fantastic in the outfield, including a great catch in center field.”
Bella Natalucci played second base and made several plays for the Sachems and earned two walks at the plate. Paige Hogan went 1-for-3 on the day.
Saugus finished the season at 10-10 and will wait for its seeding on Wednesday.

Gloucester 2
The Big Blue of Swampscott closed the regular season with a bang. Swampscott defended home turf on Monday and ended the season at 15-3.
Avery Laundry and Mia Leone led the team with three goals each. Sophia Ciciotti (2 goals), Chloe Puzzo (1), Cecilia Tripp (1), Coco Clopton (1), Samantha Demady (2), Abby Bragan (1), Sofia Robledo Puch (1), Mia Dahlman (2), Victoria Pierro (1), and Lila Giard (1) were the goalscorers for Swampscott.
In net, Lilah Caplan made 11 saves to continue her fine season between the sticks.
