LYNN — A small fire broke out on the Lynnway across from Lynn Dentistry and Braces after a car speeding out of a parking lot flipped over, hit a median, and caught on fire on Wednesday afternoon, according to District Fire Chief Joseph Zukas.
Zukas said passersby with fire extinguishers put out the fire before the Fire Department arrived at the scene.
He said the department took the driver of the car to Salem Hospital with what appear to be minor injuries.
Zukas added the car also pulled down a traffic light.
The car was removed from the Lynnway at approximately 1:45 p.m.
