Lynn Continuum of Care accepting grant proposals

Paul Halloran

August 12, 2024 by Paul Halloran

LYNN — The Lynn Continuum of Care (LCoC) announced the availability of grants to prevent and end homelessness through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the fiscal year 2024-2025 Continuum of Care Competition and the Renewal or Replacement of Youth Homeless Demonstration Program grants. The LCoC will accept and consider proposals from organizations not previously funded with CoC program funds. Organizations that have not received CoC funding in the past are encouraged to apply.

New projects

  • Only these basic types of new projects are eligible: permanent supportive housing for chronically homeless and other specific high-risk populations, rapid rehousing, joint transitional housing and rapid rehousing, coordinated entry, and HMIS (Homeless Management Information System). The NOFO provides details on each of these.
  • HUD also will consider applications that serve victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking. These projects must be rapid rehousing, joint transitional housing and rapid rehousing, or coordinated entry.

Letter of Intent — New project applicants must submit a letter of intent to the LCoC specifying the project type and estimated budget of any pending new project application. Interested organizations are urged to read the NOFO in its entirety before submitting a letter of intent by Aug. 21, 2024. Visit hud.gov or click on this link to download the FY 2024-25 NOFO. Select this link to access important instructions and guidance from the HUD website. Letters should be sent to Danielle Hoyt at [email protected]

Renewal projects

Applicants for renewal project must indicate their intent or their plans for voluntary reallocation by Aug. 21, 2024. Email notifications should be sent to Danielle Hoyt at [email protected]

Both renewal and new project application packets must be completed according to the instructions provided in the RFP and submitted by Sept. 13, 2024.

The LCoC will host an online meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. to answer questions about the local competition. A meeting link will be sent to all agencies submitting a letter of intent by the deadline.

All projects

The LCoC Ranking & Review Committee will notify all applicants of acceptance, rejection, or modification of their projects by Sept. 27, 2024.

For more information on the application process, visit https://lhand.org/about/coc/ or contact Danielle Hoyt at [email protected].
