The MBTA might need a bigger boat

BOSTON — Passengers on the MBTA’s ferries were expected to experience some small delays for a big reason on Thursday.

The MBTA announced the service could experience slight delays throughout the day because of a 2-year-old humpback whale in Boston Harbor.

The juvenile whale was seen frolicking in the harbor by the Lynn Ferry on Tuesday evening.

For more information, visit the MBTA’s ferry schedule at https://www.mbta.com/schedules/ferry .
