BOSTON – Christopher Tejeda, 23, of Lynn was sentenced by the U.S. District Court for participating in a North-Shore based drug trafficking organization on Friday, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice.
Tejeda was sentenced to one year and a day in prison followed by three years of supervised release with the first year to be served in home confinement, according to the release.
According to the release Tejeda pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances in February 2024.
In 2022, 23 individuals were arrested and charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute controlled substances after more than 74,000 counterfeit prescription pills containing narcotics were seized by State police, according to a previous article published by The Item.
The drug trafficking organization distributed counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl and counterfeit Adderall pills containing methamphetamine, among other drugs, to individuals in the Lynn area, according to the press release.
On behalf of the organization, Tejada picked up, transported and delivered controlled substances to individuals as well as collected and delivered proceeds from drug sales, according to the press release.
