SAUGUS — A car crashed off of Route 1 North and hit multiple vehicles at King Motorcars on Wednesday afternoon.

After leaving Chick’n’More, the car, a blue Mercedes-Benz, turned right to get back onto Route 1, but ended up hitting vehicles that were parked in front of the dealership at 160 Broadway.

“I think he just ended up losing control of the car,” Julia Souto, who works at the mechanic shop that adjoins the dealership, said.

Souto added that the accident happened quickly.

“He ended up turning the car, and when he turned the car, he ended up hitting three of our cars,” Souto said.

The Saugus Police Department and Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene.

A spokesperson for the State Police said that the driver, a 23-year-old man, was issued a citation as a result of the crash.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the accident, and the scene cleared at approximately 2:20 p.m.

All of the vehicles, including the Mercedes that had crashed into the other cars, were towed.
