The Lynnfield Moms Group is hosting its second annual Touch-a-Truck event this Saturday, Sept. 28, at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Lynnfield Middle School.
LMG is partnering with the Lynnfield Department of Public Works, Police Department, Fire Department, and town administration to host the event.
“It is a fun, kid-friendly event that involves many town organizations… It’s a great community event,” LMG President Sofya Cooper said.
She said families from Lynnfield and other communities attended the first event — “We had an overwhelmingly great response.
“We hope the event brings our community together and parents can enjoy the smiles on their children’s faces as they get to come close with all the different vehicles,” Cooper added. “We hope families and children love the new vehicles and activities we have added this year.”
The Touch-a-Truck event began because the LMG wanted to host a community event to support the kids in the town.
“We are thrilled at the partnership with the Town and their support in supplying many of the trucks. It was such a great event in 2023 and the feedback we received was so positive we decided to make it an annual event and it keeps growing!” Cooper said. “This year we have even more trucks for kids to sit in and explore, and will have face paint, a trackless train, and an ice cream truck.”
