Kelan Flynn

September 24, 2024 by Kelan Flynn

SAUGUS — The Saugus Public Library, in conjunction with The New Friends of the Saugus Public Library will be hosting actor Sheryl Faye, who will be portraying Helen Keller in “Helen Keller: Champion of the Disabled.”

In a release, the library shared that it will be hosting actor Sheryl Faye on Sept. 28 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Faye, who stars in 11 different one-woman shows throughout the United States, will be performing at the library as Helen Keller.

The show, a reenactment of Keller’s life from childhood through adulthood, will tell Keller’s story, from learning to read braille, to attending college.

“This is one of our most unique, very special programs,” the release stated.

The release additionally stated that the program helps to bring a level of understanding to “the different ways people do the same things.”

The programs’ end goal is to bring inspiration and leave the viewers with encouragement to “be the best they can be with the talents they possess.”

After the 45-minute performance, there will be a period for questions.

As space is limited for the event, registration is required. Those interested in attending may do so at www.sauguspulbiclibrary.org/events, or call at 781-231-4168.
