Heffernan wins Topsfield Fair Harvest Baked Sweet Treat Contest

Casey Heffernan of Topsfield won first place in this year’s Topsfield Fair Fall Harvest Baked Sweet Treat Contest. The competition required participants to create a baked dessert using a fruit or vegetable harvested from a local farm stand in the fall.

Rebecca Jani of Lawrence placed second, and Abigail Graumann of Salem took third. All three winners received gift certificates to Mann’s Orchard in Methuen, along with ribbons from the Topsfield Fair.
