Joseph Stubbs, 76, 23 Suffolk Ave. Apt. 2, Swampscott was arrested Thursday on Lake Shore Drive and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a class B drug subsequent offense, equipment violations, failure to stop/yield and possession of a class E drug.
Suspicious activity
A report at 2:01 a.m. Thursday from a caller at Mobile Estates, 286 Newbury St. who said she woke up to someone at her front doot. Officers checked the area and found nothing.
Animal control
A dog found in the area of Ellsworth Road was brought into the station Thursday at 12:55 p.m. The owner of the dog was notified by voicemail and the dog was returned to the owner.
Assist citizen
A caller at 9 Pinewood Road reported Thursday there is rumbling under her house and she is afraid there is an issue with the gas line. The rumble was from a blast at a quarry.
