To the editor:
Nowadays, it is extremely difficult (and frustrating) to obtain reliable and objective information on which to base our decisions regarding who and what to vote for in elections.
It is rare to find a news and information media outlet that has not abandoned its responsibility to avoid taking political and ideological sides on issues. So, we are mainly left on our own to sort this all out, based on our common sense and reasoning on what is best for individuals, our communities and nation.
Consider the choice of opening our national borders for millions to enter with minimal vetting versus maintaining stricter border controls and security to protect our country. Common sense choice.
Economic decisions that lead to rampant inflation on the necessities of life versus more prudent pro-American policies that are geared more toward economic rather than political outcomes. Common sense choice.
Laws that allow discretionary late-term abortions versus protecting innocent, helpless, and healthy pre-born. Common sense choice.
Criminal justice judicial and correctional actions that make it more difficult for law enforcement and protecting the public versus policies intended to control crime and deter future recurrence. Common sense choice.
Foreign policy that favors distant countries with billions of dollars versus channeling more of those taxpayer funds to pressing needs in the U.S. Common sense choice.
A government that seeks to use its power and the people’s entrusted resources to punish political rivals versus more restraint and less vindictiveness. Common sense choice.
Using our own common sense and reason versus relying on unreliable and biased sources of information. Common sense choice.
