To the editor:
Having served as Register of Deeds for Essex South for more than 46 years, I feel very strongly about who is best equipped to carry on the legacy that the staff and I built over the years.
When I knew I would not be seeking re-election I approached Eileen Duff about running for the seat. It is rare that you find someone with her background and experience willing to serve.
Eileen Duff is the natural choice to be the next Southern Essex Register of Deeds. She is deeply familiar with the workings of the registry as a user and is the only candidate with the necessary management experience to lead the registry into the future.
I give her my full support and endorsement, and encourage everyone to vote for her on Nov. 5.
