SAUGUS — The Parson Roby Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) placed flags on Saugus’ Town Hall for its 4th annual Field of Flags.

The flags will remain on the lawn until Nov. 11 and honor all veterans, including those still serving.

The flags cost $5, and according to Chapter Regent Gail Cassarino’s Facebook post, “flags may be sponsored to honor a family member, friend, neighbor, or employee who served our country.”

Cassarino also wrote, “All proceeds from the Veteran’s Day Field of Flags will support the Parson Roby Chapter – Daughters of the American Revolution mission to preserve American history and secure America’s future through education and promote patriotism.”

Those who donated could also include the name/rank of the veteran they honored and their dates of service, war, and branch of service.

Flags can be picked up on Nov. 11, Veterans Day, after 1 p.m.

The chapter is also looking for volunteers for National Wreaths Across America Day. Dec. 14, when the group will go to Riverside Cemetery and place wreaths on more than 1,200 veterans’ graves.
